In Home Page by Nina Porter

Would you like to help shape the future of policing in Surrey?  Are you committed to improving community safety?

Surrey County Council are looking for two committed and energetic members of the public to serve as Independent Members of Surrey’s Police and Crime Panel.

This recently established panel forms part of the new arrangements for developing openness, transparency and accountability of policing through effective scrutiny of the Police and Crime Commissioner and their plans for providing quality policing services throughout Surrey.

Working alongside the twelve appointed members, who represent Surrey’s local authorities, this is an important and challenging role for two individuals which offers the chance to review and contribute to the key strategic actions and decisions taken by the Commissioner, ensuring that they reflect the priorities of community safety partners and the public.
