Twelve days of Christmas at local Foodbanks

In Team challenge by Nina Porter

There is likely to be a huge demand for the services of Foodbanks over the winter months.   Could you or your company organise a collection of food among staff and/or customers to help out this Christmas?

St Matthew’s Foodbank in Redhill –  St Matthews are running a ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ appeal.  They are encouraging everyone to bring along some of the twelve items they most urgently need to meet the needs of their clients.  Although not as romantic as two turtle doves, the following will help vulnerable people greatly in the weeks ahead.

  • Sugar, small bags
  • Fruit Squash
  • Cream Crackers
  • Coffee, small jars
  • Mash
  • Noodles, small packets
  • Tomato Soup
  • Tinned Cold Meat
  • Chicken Soup
  • Cooking Oil
  • Long-life Milk
  • Tomato Ketchup

Please bring your items to St Matthews Church, Station Road, Redhill, RH1 1DL on weekdays, 10 am – 4pm until the 14th December.   For further details about the St Matthews Foodbank see here
