Community Foundation for Surrey

The Community Foundation for Surrey manages over 80 grants funds. It provides funding for local voluntary and community groups in Surrey. The average grant size is around £7000.

In 2022 there will be 3 main application rounds. Each round will be themed:

Young People 

  • Supporting the range of challenges faced by young people.
  • The deadline for applications is 9am on Monday 25th April 2022. (Expressions of Interest by 11 April).
  • Successful projects will receive funding in July/August.

Wellbeing 

  • Advance people’s wellbeing, physical and mental health and safety.
  • The deadline for applications is 9am on Monday 25th July 2022. (Expressions of Interest by 11 July)
  • Successful projects will receive funding in October/November.

Equity & Inclusion 

  • Reduce disadvantage and increase access to services, strengthen community cohesion and build social capacity.
  • The deadline for applications is 9am on Monday 10th October 2022. (Expressions of Interest by 26 September).
  • Successful applicants will receive funding in January/February 2023.

Within each funding round the Community Foundation is also interested in helping groups build capacity and environmental engagement projects which address social welfare or community need.

Application Process

To apply, please complete an Expression of Interest Form. If your project looks eligible, then you will be invited to submit a full application.

To be considered for a particular round, your Expression of Interest must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the full application deadline.

Funding Surgeries with Community Foundation for Surrey

Funding Surgeries are 30 minutes meetings in which you can talk to one of the Community Foundation Grants Officers on a 1-to-1 basis. This enables you to ask specific questions relating to your organisation and funding need. The Grant Officers can advise and guide you on the processes of the Community Foundation for Surrey.
