Reigate Town Hall

Voluntary Action Reigate & Banstead along with Reigate & Banstead Borough Council and the Community Foundation for Surrey, will be running a joint funding surgery to provide information and advice on a range of local funding opportunities, as outlined below:-

• Reigate & Banstead Borough Council has recently launched new small and medium grants funds to support voluntary and community organisations working within their borough, as well as placing more emphasis on in kind support for the sector. RBBC staff will be available to discuss your ideas and answer your queries in order to help you decide whether or not to apply for funding or in kind support.
• The Reigate and Banstead Community Fund provides support to local projects which tackle need and disadvantage across the borough of Reigate and Banstead.  Staff from the Community Foundation for Surrey will be available to explain more about this fund.
• Voluntary Action Reigate & Banstead will be offering funding searches, using the Grantfinder database and other funding knowledge, to identify additional grants that match your project/activity. If you are struggling with a particular aspect of funding applications (e.g. demonstrating need/impact; budget planning), VARB can also offer advice to address individual queries.

The surgery will commence at 2pm with a general overview. This will be followed by a series of 20min one-to-one appointments from 2.30 onwards, with the last appointment being at 4.15 – these will need to be booked in advance. You may attend some or all of the event according to your interest and need, but please confirm your attendance in advance by sending an email with a subject heading of ‘Funding Surgery’ to by Friday 6 September. If you wish to book one or more one-to-one appointments with any of the above organisations please indicate your preferences in the email. We will then schedule and confirm the slots as soon as possible after the 6 September.
