Gardeners for Active Prospects

Gardeners for Active Prospects

Active Prospects provides a range of supported living accommodation and activities that enables people with learning disabilities, mental and physical health needs to live full and aspiring lives.

They are currently looking for volunteers who can help with basic maintenance of the gardens of some of their residential and supported living services for people with learning disabilities or autism.

During the pandemic, they have struggled to maintain the gardens due to the maintenance team being short-staffed and care workers having to prioritise keeping people safe.

The type of help they are looking for is mowing grass, pruning, weeding etc.

Extensive gardening experience is not required. A friendly manner and positive attitude are more important. Active Prospects can be flexible about time commitments and will provide all equipment (and tea/coffee).
