Laptops for home learning

Laptops for home learning

“Level Up Redhill, Reigate, Banstead” is a laptop refurbishment project that is collecting unwanted laptops and tablets and redistributing them, via schools, to local children.

VARB is working in partnership with Raven Housing Trust and other local organisations and volunteers to deliver the project. Further details are on the project page here Level Up Laptop Refurbishment – Voluntary Action Reigate & Banstead (varb.org.uk)

We need your help:

Do you have an old laptop or tablet that you could donate?

We would particularly welcome laptops running Windows, 7, 8 or 10. We can also accept tablets which can be used by primary school children. Please complete the donation form and Raven Housing Trust will get in touch to arrange a day/time to pick up the device(s) from your home or business.

All devices are securely wiped back to factory settings and hard drives replaced. Where required, laptops are upgraded and minor repairs undertaken, before they are passed on to children, via schools.

If you don’t have a laptop to donate but would still like to support the project, then please consider buying a laptop part that will help with the refurbishment process. Items on our Amazon wish list cost from £7 – with our top item a new solid state disc (SSD) for £20.

Thanks to the amazing community response, over 400 devices have already been refurbished and distributed via schools in Reigate & Banstead.
