Meet the Funder events
Hearing directly from funders and talking through your potential projects can be a great way to glean extra information that helps your funding applications hit the mark. Alternatively, it could save you wasted time and effort in applying to a funder that is not a good match.
To support local organisations with their funding applications, VARB is hosting a series of bitesize Meet the Funder events over the next couple of months. Hear the latest updates from local funders and key national funders. Subject to availability, you can also book an individual appointment with each Funder. (Note places for individual appointments are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis for Reigate & Banstead organisations). Also included below are details of the Funding Surgeries being organised directly by Community Foundation for Surrey.
18 June 10am – 12 noon – National Lottery Community Fund
The National Lottery Community Fund supports people and communities across England. Over 80% of their grants are less than £10,000. However, they also have a range of larger grant programs, many offering support over multiple years.
At this Meet the Funder event, the Funding Manager for London and the South East will provide an update on the latest developments within the National Lottery Community Fund. There will be an open Q&A session and also the opportunity to book an individual meeting, to discuss your potential applications.
23 June (other dates available) – Community Foundation for Surrey Funding Surgeries
The Community Foundation for Surrey manages over 80 grant funds to support local charities, community and voluntary groups in Surrey, whose work benefits our communities.
If you would like some advice and support with your funding request, you can book an appointment to meet with a member of the Community Foundation Grants Team. This is a chance to have a 1 to 1 appointment with a Grants Officer to discuss your funding needs.
