Befriender / Activity Volunteer in Ashtead (CSVA)
SeeAbility supports people with sight loss and multiple disabilities.
Our residents are looking for volunteers who are willing to spend time with them in their homes in Ashtead. This could involve a wide range of activities from talking, reading, listening to music, cooking, gardening or doing other activities that you and the residents both enjoy. Some residents would like support to go into the village for shopping or coffee. Most of all, our residents would simply like to make new friends.
You don't need to make a big commitment - just an hour a week would be fantastic. The day and time you visit can be flexible, but we are looking for someone willing to make a regular commitment.
Your help will make a real difference to the lives of people with disabilities; volunteering for us can be a very rewarding experience
What skills do I need?
We don't require any formal qualifications or experience of working with or volunteering with people with disabilities.
