Befriender for Older People (EP)
A wonderful opportunity to make a difference to the life of an older person in the local community. If you can spare an hour or two a week this is a flexible opportunity to visit for a coffee and chat or to take the older person out for a walk, pub lunch or shopping.
A weekly visit can break up a very long day alone.
We currently have a
waiting list of people who would like someone to visit.
What skills do I need?
We are looking for a good communicator, reliable, trustworthy, patient and sensitive with an interest in older people and empathy with their needs and understand the importance of confidentiality.

Availability Details
We ask a commitment of at least 6 months, visiting regularly (preferably once a week, apart from holidays etc) so that a relationship can develop.
