Befriender for Residents (SH)
Situated in the leafy suburb of Camberley and within walking distance of the town centre, Corrina Lodge is a purpose-built home, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. In all aspects of its environment - both inside and out - Corrina Lodge has been designed to provide a pleasant living space for all who choose to live here.
Corrina Lodge provides 24-hour nursing care for frail older people and for some younger adults with disabilities and illnesses requiring nursing care.
What skills do I need?
Corrina Lodge is a purpose-built home and we are looking for volunteers who wouldl like to be:
Activities helper for painting and crafts.
Befriender to residents for conversation and company.
Helper with Gardening Club on Friday afternoons.We would welcome volunteers who would enjoy chatting in a group or on a one to one basis, gardening, being creative, singing, playing an instrument.
Any volunteers would be supported by the activity team to get to know our residents and we would work with individuals to make sure that the experience was beneficial on both sides.
We would ask any perspective volunteers to come and visit and have a look around the home and if they felt that Corrina lodge is a community they would like to be part of. We would ask them to provide references and complete a DBS.
