Boccia Club helper (SP)

Spelthorne Boccia Club is open to adults and young people aged 14+ with disabilities, the club is held on Thursday evenings from 6-7pm at Spelthorne Leisure Centre. Volunteers will assist members play boccia, which is a disability sport, similar to bowls and petanque. The aim of the game is to propel leather balls, coloured red or blue, close to a white target ball (the jack). It is played from a seated position and the ball can be moved with players' hands, feet or an assistive device eg. a head or hand pointer.
