Care Support Volunteer
The volunteer will be assisting the care team at Christopher's our children's hospice in Guildford. As an integral part of the team for a whole shift, the volunteer will help with washing, dressing, tidying bedrooms, laundry, babysitting for siblings, activities and outings and with hydrotherapy pool sessions.
What skills do I need?
Ideally a nursing or teaching background. Proactive and ability to help independently where necessary for a variety of tasks. Enthusiasm, flexibility and lots of energy. Friendly and approachable whilst maintaining boundaries and confidentiality. Available to help on a regular basis as least 3 x per month. If possible an ability to swim to assist with hydro sessions.

Availability Details
7.30am-3pm Friday, Saturday or Sunday 2pm-9.30pm Friday or Saturday 3 shifts per month minimum so that the volunteer gets to know staff and can attend hand-over sessions. A commitment of at least one year if possible
