Coffee Shop Volunteers (MV)
The Friends of Dorking Community Hospital run the Coffee Shop within Dorking Community Hospital. The shop provides visitors and staff with beverages and also sells a range of confectionery, greeting cards, wool, second-hand books etc. The shop is staffed totally by volunteers and all profits go to Dorking Community Hospital, e.g. equipment purchase.
Volunteers are required to run the shop, which involves making and serving beverages and selling the range of stock. The shop is run on a rota system, so volunteers can commit to a regular shift from weekly to monthly, mornings or afternoons (10.00am-1.00pm, 1.00pm-4.00pm). Back-up volunteers are also required for illness and holiday cover.
