Could you help at Orphest?
We have our music event at The Orpheus coming up on the Saturday 31st July and we need to recruit 50 volunteers for this event! It is held in the College grounds in Godstone from midday to 7.30pm and funds raised will go towards the Centre, an independent specialist college for young disabled adults with a passion for the performing arts.
Could you help with;
Bar support – to serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to attendees, or to replenish the bar throughout,
Raffle/merchandise stall - Sell raffle tickets and Orpheus and band merchandise.
Steward/box office - Check tickets, sell tickets and issue wristbands.
Stage support Officer - Meet performers in the Porte-Cochère, take them to their designated backstage area. Help set up their equipment and support their tech team with requests on the day.
Information point - Answer questions.
Kids zone steward - To monitor the Kid’s Zone and make sure the children are safe. Report lost children to First Aid, located in reception. Ensure children are not left unsupervised. (Must be DBS checked for this role).
Site stewards - Direct attendees, bucket collection, clearing up rubbish, monitoring the 'recycling centre', and checking toilets.
Programme seller - Sell programmes.
Car Parking Steward - Ensure the smooth movement of traffic through the site or car park, park cars efficiently and safety.
Tea and cake stand - Serve hot drinks and cake.
The event is expected to be hosted in a Covid safe way, temperature checks may be taken upon arrival, sanitizing stations will around the site and face masks will be recommended to be worn in enclosed areas unless stated by the Government. Safety is our number one priority as well as having a fantastic festival.
Being a volunteer also means that you will have access to the festival free of charge.
What skills do I need?
No essential skills needed - just enjoy the festival whilst volunteering!
