Connections (Phone Call) Volunteer
Right now, there are members of the RAF community in the Surrey area who are feeling particularly lonely and isolated during this Coronavirus crisis . As a Connections Volunteer you could offer the vital connection and support needed via regular phone calls. Not having someone to talk to during these challenging times can be lonely, particularly if the person is used to social activities and spending time with others.
What you will be doing.
- Providing regular social interaction and support to RAF veterans via the telephone, each call lasting 20/30 minutes
- Relaying any concerns to your Connections Coordinator
- Regularly submitting an activity log summarising your interactions so we can make sure everyone is receiving the help they need
The aim of this role is to help integrate members back into the community whilst helping them to become confident and independent again.
