Craft Skills Tutor (SP)
Volunteers are needed to teach craft skills to small groups of up to 6 disaffected 15 year olds, in term time. Both boys and girls are taught a range of skills in wood, metal, glass and stone, and more recently creative arts and computer mechanics. Volunteers typically teach half a day a week. The Trust is hoping to set up similar workshops elsewhere.
What skills do I need?
No formal qualifications are needed, but craft skills are useful, together with the desire to pass on those skills to young people on an apprenticeship pattern.
