Dance Teaching Assistant

The Tailfeatherdance Company are currently creating dance work for the production of King Arthur next year.
We are looking for someone with dance/choreography experience and experience in enabling others to shine! You would be working alongside incredible young adult dancers with learning disabilities. There are many opportunities for volunteers to get involved with these amazing, talented, and fun groups:
Tuesdays: 10.30 - 12.30pm
Tuesdays: 1.15 - 3.15pm
Wednesdays: 10.30 - 12.30pm
Saturdays (monthly): 10.00 - 12.00pm
Saturdays (monthly): 12.30 - 3.00pm
What skills do I need?
The dancers are looking for someone who is able to facilitate their choreographic work and support their growth and development in the performing arts.
Support skills: Observation, appropriate response, clear communication, self-awareness alongside other-awareness
Character: Patience, encouragement, tact, kindness, warmth
Values: Inclusion, honesty, integrity
Dance skills: Basic understanding of choreography, experience of inclusive dance or willingness to learn.

Availability Details
The sessions are one to one, in small groups, and in the whole group to create dance work, develop dance ideas, and rehearse. As this is a creative and ongoing support opportunity, it is hoped that this special someone can commit to weekly classes and rehearsals.
