Digital Champion Lead Volunteer
This role will support delivery of the Discover IT programme.
The Lead Volunteer will support the Regional Digital Inclusion Coordinators supervising, training and guiding Digital Champion volunteers. It is expected that the Lead Volunteer will support up to 10 volunteers delivering digital sessions to our clients as well as ideally delivering sessions themselves.
The Lead volunteer role will include:
- Inducting volunteers to Discover IT clients and centres, to Digital Champion toolkits and processes.
- Liaise between the Coordinator, the clients, centres and volunteers.
- Encouraging disabled people to feel confident in using computer technology.
- Ideally helping clients set up and get started on their IT equipment, troubleshooting IT issues and supporting clients with basic IT skills.
This is a great role for someone who is comfortable using computers and online channels, and who would like to help disabled people to harness the power of technology. Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed, if agreed in advance.
The role could be in person at any centre in the UK, in the client's home, or on the phone/via Skype.

Availability Details
Ad hoc commitment, depending on the requirements of volunteers and clients. A minimum of 3 months commitment, a minimum of 6 hours per month.
