What you’ll be doing.

Creating Connections is a programme that supports people with learning disabilities, autism and/or sight loss to access the digital world to live more connected lives.

The Digital Inclusion Volunteer will:


  • Support the Creating Connections team with the design and delivery of a range of projects aimed at improving the digital skills of the people we support and connect with their peers – e.g. setting up regular online drop-in sessions, run regular online activities, events and learning sessions, etc.
  • Support the team to involve a broader range of people to become active digital champions in their community. 
  • Support the team to co-design, organise and hold online activities and events that help to improve digital skills and draw in a range of people and stakeholders. 
  • Identifying possible case studies to further promote the Creating Connections programme. 
  • Ensure their approach puts people first and is tailored to their unique needs.

This opportunity will help you strengthen your networking skills and project management experience, as well as deepen your knowledge of digital accessibility. You will meet new people and make the difference to the lives of those who are more digitally excluded.

Location: Remote, with occasional travel to our Head Office in Epsom (Surrey).

Time commitment:  4-6 hours per week.

What skills do I need?

  • To be energetic and proactive, reliable and consistent. 
  • To have experience designing and facilitating online workshops, activities and events. 
  • An interest in online community projects and knowledge of digital accessibility, services and activities. 
  • Experience of using digital tools to engage a wide range of audiences. - To be kind and friendly, empathetic and patient.

Availability Details

Location: Working form Home, with occasional travel to our Head Office in Epsom (Surrey). Time commitment: 4-6 hours per week.
