We are looking for volunteers who are already trained coaches and who would wish to volunteer their time and expertise to our support coaching service.
Volunteers would work across Surrey if required (though cases allocated will usually be more local). Our coaching service has been conducted via Zoom for the pandemic, but we are looking to move to some face to face meetings if the client and the coach are willing.
Can commit to between 10 and 12 cases over the year. This is to ensure that Support Coaching is able to meet demand and also to build individual confidence in coaching skills.
What skills do I need?
Have experience of working with vulnerable adults or other experience of working with people in stressful situations.
Can recognise and work with surface and underlying strong emotions.
Ability to create options for managing the situation while encouraging ownership of the situation.
Willing to undertake on-going development and supervision.
