Fundraising & Event Volunteer (RB)
This is an interesting opportunity to support our Fundraising and Marketing Officer and gain an insight into the work of the Relate charity which offers mediation, psychosexual therapy and counselling for couples, families, individuals and young people. Relate Mid-Surrey is a welcoming and supportive place to work and free online training is available to support your work.
The role will involve working with the Fundraising and Marketing Officer to organise and deliver a large fundraising event in October 2020. The event is a formal dinner and dance with an auction and raffle. The role is varied and includes identifying local businesses that can support our event, securing donations and general administrative duties. The role requires someone with great communication skills and attention to detail.
The role will bring you into contact with sensitive and confidential material at times and so we will complete all necessary checks and references on candidates before appointment. Working times are to suit within our office hours and can be based at our Reigate office. We are near to a railway station and public car parks but we do not have our own parking.
What skills do I need?
- Good standard of English/literacy skills
- Some experience of office/ admin skills
- Ability to show discretion and deal with confidential material
- Ability to work in a team and also to work independently
- Understanding of the needs of people in crisis
References and a DBS check will be taken.

Choose hours between 9am – 5pm Mon-Thurs, 9am-1pm Fri and Sat. Ideally weekly, hours to suit between 9am and 5pm.
