Aim of the role:

To act as a volunteer on one or different activities or events, working with designated Priority Leads

Sample Activities:

·         Help out at events or activities and/or develop own ideas

·         Choose a specific project eg. allotment or priority eg. healthy active community

·         Use skills and experience to support the community

·         Engage with others to inspire and encourage their involvement

·         Positively represent the project in the community and to external partners

·         Enable positive communication between volunteers, Priority Leads, SCT project staff, other residents and partners

What skills do I need?

Skills required:

·         Enthusiasm, willingness to co-operate, ability to participate

·         Specific skills will be matched to activities or projects

·         Willingness to take up training/certification if and when necessary

·         Good, open communication with resident volunteers, project staff and external partners

·         A commitment to supporting Stanwell residents and the issues they identify
