Helper at Allsports session (CSVA)
Helper at Allsports session for young adults (16-25) with learning disabilities.
ECL has a Sports and social club for young adults with learning disabilities. We are looking for an energetic and youthful volunteer to help us at the sessions to encourage more participation in team games.
What skills do I need?
This opportunity would appeal to students looking to enter a career in sports and leisure or any caring /medical profession.
It is an energetic session aimed at young people with learning disabilities aged 16+. It is a fun-filled atmosphere at the sports hall where participants enjoy team sports and making new friends. Ideally the volunteer would be empathetic and be happy to join in the fun.
The sessions are run by a Facilitator and volunteers. Training in learning disability awareness will be offered by experienced staff.
The sessions are run at Walton Youth Centre in central Walton on Thames KT12 1LH from 6:30 - 8:30pm on a Tuesday evening. We are looking for someone who can commit on a weekly basis The Charity is willing to contribute towards travelling expenses.
