Historical Character for Schools (CSVA)

• Interpret the site and its history for school groups by telling stories about the site and/or key historical figures

• Set up the workshop by preparing props, room etc.

• Welcome schools and help support them with directions/orientation etc.

• Provide 30-45 minute storytelling session or sessions in character

• May be asked to wear historic costumes for historic character

• To maintain a good working relationships with staff and other volunteers

• To comply with the Brooklands Health and Safety Policy and always operate with a regard for good environmental practices.

What skills do I need?

• Communication and interpersonal skills

• Friendly to teachers and young visitors

• Enthusiasm to learn about Brooklands Museum and develop new skills

• A desire to inspire visitors about the history of the site in a fun way
