Home-Visiting Volunteer (SP)
Can you spare a few hours a week to make a difference to a local family with young children supporting them through challenging times?
Following a 6 week preparation course, home-visiting volunteers visit families under pressure in their homes once a week for 2-3 hours, at times which suit both volunteers and families. Volunteers must be parents themselves or have parenting experience, and be non-judgemental. This opportunity will involve a DBS check.
Home-Start Spelthorne are starting a Face to Face preparation course on Tuesday the 13th of September 2022 and is a 6 week course on consecutive Tuesdays. Each session will start at 9.30 am and finish at 2.30 pm.
The course will be taking place at The Resource Centre, Staines Park, Commercial Road, Staines, TW18 2QW

Availability Details
We require people with parenting experience who can spare 2-3 hours per week to visit a family and offer emotional support and practical help.
