Home Visitor (TD)

Home-Start is a charity based in the local community which offers non-judgmental support to families in distress - with at least one child under 5 years - via a home-visiting volunteer.

The volunteers offer practical help, friendship and parenting advice to families and make a real difference to their quality of life.

A volunteer visits a family in their own home, for two or three hours a week for as long as the family needs them (this is not normally longer than 1 year) or until the youngest child turns five.

Training courses consisting of 4.5 hours over 8 weeks are held periodically.

You should be able to commit at least six months of your time.

You must be a parent or have parenting experience and be over 25 years of age.
