Life Skills Volunteer for Woking House
Life offers housing and support to disadvantaged women, babies, children, and young people in the UK. We improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable pregnant mothers and young families by supporting them through difficult times and offering them the help they need to turn their lives around.
We are looking for volunteers to help clients in our Woking house to develop general life skills such as cooking, gardening and some arts and crafts etc. Volunteers should be able to commit up to 4 hours of their time per week. We are looking for someone who is able to communicate and engage well with the client group, to support and help the mums learn new skills.
What skills do I need?
Strong communication and listening skills
Experience raising children and an appreciation of the challenges for young mothers
