Marketing Manager
Our Purpose is to reduce food waste and to make surplus food available for public benefit in the local community at our Community Fridges in Surrey
As a Marketing Manager it will be your purpose to develop and implement strategic marketing plans for Mid Surrey Community Fridges, in order to increase awareness of our service, reinforce our brand, attract potential users, retain existing ones, help people to access our services, build effective partnerships and drive fundraising.
Key tasks to accomplish this include:
- Strategic adviser to the leadership team on marketing and communications
- Devise and implement marketing and communications plans aligned to objectives set by CEO fundraising and operations directors
- Develop core brand messaging and oversee consistency of execution
- Devise and oversee marketing team campaigns
- Manage the marketing team and oversee delivery of social media website supporter newsletter
- Approve production of photography video posters flyers and audio materials
- Support CEO with prepared statements to deal with emerging situations
- Advise local fridge managers to ensure policy message and brand is applied consistently to promotions at local fridges
- Produce the annual digital marketing schedule
- Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns gain insight and assess against goals
- Market research including annual survey
What skills do I need?
The Desirable skills required for this role are:
- Development and implementation off communications strategies tools and techniques in support of business objectives
- Copy-writing and copy-editing
- Developing marketing campaigns
- Dealing with suppliers
- Understanding of diverse audiences and their communications needs
- Analytical ability to understand audience research and trends
- Team player able to influence and work with all MSCF and volunteer groups
- Including on Zoom calls and What App
- Great interpersonal skills stakeholder
- management relationship building and networking skills
- Computer and smartphone skills
- Excellent written English
- The ability to work independently and use initiative to make your own decisions
