Minibus driver for outings (SH)
LinkAble are looking for
volunteers who would be willing to drive minibuses to support our children and
young people with learning disabilities. After the pandemic we would love to
get back to offering a few exciting outings to our service users during our
holiday schemes at May half term ( 30 May - 1 June) and Summer (25 July - 26
Aug). We are planning to run trips to local attractions so our young people can
take part in activities within the community.
What skills do I need?
To drive our buses you will need to be 21 and over and have held a full driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.
Many of the journeys would be short trips within half a hours drive (one way) from our building in Woking. On occasion we would be looking at journeys of up to 1 hours drive (one way). There is the option to stay at the venue for the length of the session, this may be preferable for the longer journeys.
We would also provide fully certificated driver awareness and driving assessment training in advance.
