Publicity and Social Media Volunteer
Renewed Hope is looking for a volunteer to help manage their social media profiles, website and publicity.
It's a charity which supports homeless and other vulnerable adults in the districts of Tandridge and Reigate & Banstead, looking to raise their profile amongst schools, community groups, businesses and the general public. Primarily to generate funding for this great cause, but also to increase awareness in the local area.
Activities include updating the website using the WordPress platform. The volunteer would also schedule posts on social media in liaison with the staff team, reconnect with local newspapers, local radio and other publicity outlets and help encourage individual and group fundraising.
It's a great opportunity to get involved with the team, most closely with the Fundraising Co-ordinator and Project Co-ordinator.
What skills do I need?
Essential: Good writing skills and able to adapt your writing style to specific audiences.
Experience with different social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Desirable: Experience in a publicity/marketing/sales/journalism role (volunteer or paid)
Experience with Wordpress or similar website platform

Availability Details
Most of the role can be done remotely, however you will need to be available during the working week to visit the charity periodically in order to appreciate a sense what we do and the people we help. Weekly to start with and then adhoc. We can we flexible dependent on the individuals.
