Reader (CSVA)
A Reader is one of a team of three who read articles from the Dorking Advertiser that have been selected by an Editor.
The reading is recorded on to the computer and then copied onto memory sticks for distribution to the listeners who are either visually impaired or unable to hold a newspaper.
Although the recordings happen on a weekly basis, on average, each reader is called upon about once every five weeks. Readers are asked to be at The United Reform Church 53 West St, Dorking RH4 1BS by 6.15 with the reading taking place from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm on a Thursday.
