If you enjoy working with children you could be a great role for you. Lively Rhyme-time sessions on Tuesday morning 11:15-11:45am aimed at pre-school, along with their parents and carers are popular with young families in all our libraries. Rhyme times involve singing nursery rhymes and action songs, occasionally with toys or percussion music. It is fun, interactive and noisy! Volunteers may be the leader or assistant.

Duties involve setting up 15 minutes before and staying on 15 minutes after to tidying away including cleaning any instruments used, selecting the songs, making families welcome and either leading or assisting with the singing. Sessions are held weekly so a regular commitment of about an hour a week or this can be shared between two or three volunteers on a regular basis.

What skills do I need?

Enthusiasm and friendliness.

Happy, out-going personality A willingness to take part and join in the singing.
