Santa Fun Run Volunteers (CSVA)

Join in the fun by cheering on runners, keeping them on track and tidying up afterwards.

The roles required are marshals and registration desk volunteers.

This year we are also encouraging families to volunteer together to support the Santa fun runs.

Registration clerks: To sign in runners as they arrive, give them their running number and an ‘In Memory bib’ if they wish to have one, and provide them with a Santa suit if they do not already have one. You will then direct the runners to their correct waiting area.

Once the run has started, if you could spare time to walk over to the finish line and cheer them as they finish it will be greatly appreciated by the runners. We also want to help maintain the park and make sure we have not left any litter, so your help with this would be invaluable!

Marshals: The run starts at 10.00am with registration beginning at 9.30am. You will help indicate where the runners need to continue along the route. Once the back walker has passed your marshal point, you will walk to the next marshal point and pick up any parts of Santa suits (belts, hats etc…) and litter that may have fallen off along the route.

Family Volunteering: You will sign up for one or more of the fun runs and volunteer together as a family. To take part in this activity children must be over 7 years old and supervised at all times by a parent/relative and there must be no more than 2 children per adult.

As the accompanying adult you will be responsible for your child/children at this event and both you and your child must be registered as volunteers. Each child will receive a certificate for their support on the day. It promises to be a really fun day out and a great way to support a fantastic cause as a family.
