Do you have a flair for Social Media & Marketing and share our passion in stopping food waste ?

Our Purpose is to reduce food waste and to make surplus food available for public benefit in the local community at our Community Fridges in Surrey.

As a social Media Coordinator your purpose will be help people to access our services and events, reinforce a sense of community and drive fundraising by creating meaningful, concise, compelling, entertaining, informative, engaging and interesting social media posts.

Main Tasks yo will be involved in are:

● Produce social media posts and blogs according to a monthly/ weekly

digital marketing schedule, likely to be 3 or 4 times a week

● Create social media content including that provided by the Marketing


● Develop and implement plans to obtain Shares, Followers and ‘Likes’

● Maintain social media channels:

  1. ○ Maintain the main pages of all our channels e.g. location and contact info
  2. ○ Maintain links to our website and third parties
  3. ○ Maintain and adjust the digital marketing schedule

Other Tasks would include:

● Maintain social media guidelines

● Manage third party website support

● Market research - collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data

What skills do I need?

● Great communication skills

● Computer and smartphone skills

● Good written English

● Teamworking, including on ‘Zoom’ calls and WhatsApp 

● The ability to work independently, use initiative to make your own decisions

● Developing marketing campaigns

● Creating content, including text posts, video and images for use on social media

● Monitoring and responding to customer feedback, comments

● Must have a smartphone

● Up-to-date with the latest social media trends and digital technologies
