A new and exciting opportunity has arisen at VARB for an enthusiastic and creative volunteer to help drive forward our use of social media. To promote the work of VARB and the local voluntary sector.

This is a great chance for someone with a passion for social media to put their skills to good use and gain first hand experience for their CV, relevant to jobs in marketing and communications. This home based role would be well-suited to someone with experience using Facebook, Twitter and to explore the possibility of using other social media tools & platforms.

The volunteer will gain experience scheduling posts using Hootsuite, a tool commonly used by companies in the online marketing industry.

What skills do I need?

  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good technical knowledge and experience using Facebook & Twitter.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under own initiative.
  • An interest in the charity.

Availability Details

Around 2 hours of volunteering from home a week, with occasional travel to Reigate. Times are flexible to suit the volunteer's schedule and there is opportunity to do more if wanted.
