Support Volunteer (SP)
Get to know the women and their babies in their Houses, helping them grow in confidence and flourish as families, in this fulfilling and enjoyable role. This role will involve you supporting with a number of areas, including:
- Helping run Life Skills sessions with the Life House clients, helping them with cooking, parenting, money and budgeting, and healthy relationships.
- Doing activities inside and outside the house with the clients and Support Workers.
- Role-modelling good listening, kindness, and compassion.
- Supporting clients as they fill out forms and access the local community.
You should be willing to give at least an hour a week to support this role
What skills do I need?
- A passion for making a difference to women and children (no formal experience needed).
- A friendly and helpful attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, sensitivity, reliability, and good listening and communication skills.
