Based at home in the Oxted District area you will be manning a telephone line for a 'Good Neighbour' organisation offering transport to local residents without own transport to medical appointments in Oxted, East Surrey Hospital, Caterham and sometimes further afield.
Re-opening with limited hours initially - the telephone lines will only be available between 9am and
1pm Monday to Friday,
Duties are carried out on a rota basis and you would choose a day of the week that is generally suitable for you.
An annual rota is distributed and days can be swapped with others if necessary.
Duties on the day also include keeping the diary and log sheet up to date and then delivering the Link Case to the next day's volunteer.
Training is given and includes three days of shadowing current telephone volunteers but constant support will always be available afterwards.
Petrol and telephone expenses are paid.
