Trustee with Finance/Treasurer (CSVA)
We are looking for someone to manage the finances of CRGT. We are the only volunteer run recreation ground in Elmbridge.
Role description
• Membership of the CRGT trustee board, and attendance at meetings thereof. Currently CRGT also has a smaller steering group as part of its governance structure, which it would also be beneficial for the treasurer to attend
• Maintenance of accounting records and preparation of annual accounts (reporting date is 31 March)
• Making recommendation for re-appointment of Independent Examiner of the accounts
• Raising of occasional VAT invoices for rentals and recharges
• Payment of bills using online banking
• Maintenance of banking relationships (primarily current account with Lloyds, and a savings accounts with Nationwide)
• Regular reports on financial position to trustee board
• Active participation in budgeting activity
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Preparation and submission of Gift Aid claims (including claims under the Gift Aid Small Donations
Scheme)
What skills do I need?
Any accountancy qualification (due to the financial responsibility of the role)
Familiarity with the operation of VAT

Availability Details
Flexible volunteering -the current Treasurer spends approximately two hours per week. The time is spread throughout the week, it is not a once a week requirement. Mainly from home, occasional meetings at the Claygate Pavilion.
