Volunteer Engineer (RB)
We are looking for people with good DIY skills and a home workshop to join our small panel of similar individuals. We design and make custom equipment for the disabled, often working with a professional such as an OT(Occupational Therapist).
- enjoy the challenge of solving problems
- have the pleasure of helping people achieve things
- belong to a local group of like-minded people
- keep their skills and talents alive and relevant
"It is great to be able to use our engineering skills to make something unique like this; it makes a really big difference to someone’s quality of life." Richard, ReMap Volunteer
What skills do I need?
Volunteers need to have imaginative and problem solving minds plus the DIY skills to put ideas into practice. A home workshop or space to work on projects is necessary.
Many ReMap volunteers are from an engineering background, but they also need electronics and computing experts, people skilled with wood, those with a passion for model engineering. In fact anyone with a talent for making things!
