Volunteer quilt & blanket makers (VSNS)
Project Linus UK is run by a team of volunteer Co-ordinators. Our dedicated Area Coordinators organise sewing and fundraising events across the UK, as well as liaising and distributing quilts and blankets to their local hospitals, childrenâs hospices, womenâs refuges, foster carers, special schools, bereavement services and many other places where support is given to children âin need of a hugâ. Area Co-ordinators will also visit groups such as craft groups, the Womenâs Institute, U3A, local quilting groups and other organisations to spread the word about Project Linus UK.Â
What skills do I need?
There are many ways to get involved and support Project Linus UK. Our Area Co-ordinators are always looking for volunteers to make quilts and blankets. They may also need help in distributing these donated items. Donations of suitable patchwork fabrics and threads or help with fundraising to purchase fabrics and wadding are always welcome.Â
