Having worked and collaborated in the charity sector for many years, Frida saw an opportunity to bring her skills and knowledge in growing teams and charities to Voluntary Action Reigate & Banstead. Frida managed to pull off some amazing wins for VARB, helping bring our charity to the fore within our community and within the NHS.
Throughout my portfolio career, I have provided leadership, knowledge and stability to organisations and clients in NGO and business settings alike. I have enabled the reframing of organisational structures, culture and values, bringing clarity and focus on their mission and aims. I have led, inspired and motivated staff and volunteers by developing positive and productive work environments that attract high calibre professionals. Since a young age, I have been supporting national and international NGOs covering roles like team manager, project manager, trainer, life coach, Governor, Trustee and mentor. In 2011, I undertook pioneering research for my Masters' dissertation on 'Reciprocal expectations within Third Sector organisations – volunteers’ experience'.
My research showed how, through clear communication and management of expectations, charities can create a better experience for both volunteers and organisations with a positive outcome for all beneficiaries.
