Thriving with Nature – funding in Horley
The Thriving with Nature fund aims to help local community groups start or grow innovative projects which use nature-based interventions to support Horley residents.
The Thriving with Nature fund is part of Surrey County Council’s Green Social Prescribing initiative which looks at promoting nature-based opportunities that help people enjoy the great outdoors and look after their health and wellbeing.
- One-off grants of up to £10,000
- Grants must be spent by the end of March 2022
- Application deadline 22 October 2021
Who can apply?
The fund will support charities and community organisations, including schools.
Eligible projects will be providing ongoing/regular activities that reduce isolation and loneliness, improve health, independence, and wellbeing.
Priority will be given to applications that help those most impacted by Covid-19, especially carers, older people, those with learning disabilities, autism, or people living with long-term conditions or disabilities, including mental health problems.
Only projects in Horley (and/or Stanwell) are eligible. The fund is focusing on these areas as they were identified as areas most impacted by Covid-19.
