VARB Communications Officer

Salary: £23,500 pro rata; up to 30 hours per week; temporary contract (this post is funded until 31 March 2021)

Thanks to funding from the Community Foundation for Surrey, Voluntary Action Reigate & Banstead is recruiting a part time Communications Officer to join our small team. The postholder will be responsible for communicating with our key audiences of potential volunteers and local voluntary organisations. S/he will also provide advice and support to help other organisations develop their communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be self motivated and organised. You will be IT proficient and familiar with digital communication tools, such as hootsuite and mailchimp.

VARB has an office base in Redhill. However, the team is currently working from home and this is likely to be the case for the immediate future. In the longer term we envisage returning to an office space but on a flexible basis with an option for homeworking.
