Volunteer drivers needed in Banstead

Age Concern Banstead is looking for volunteer drivers to assist with transporting vulnerable patients for their vaccination jabs and other medical appointments.

Age Concern Banstead offers a community transport service to older people living in the north of the Borough. This includes: Banstead, Chipstead, Epsom Downs, Hooley, Kingswood, Nork, Tadworth, Tattenham, Walton on the Hill, Woodmansterne.

Requirements of the role

  • Drivers will require a current clean driving licence and a caring sympathetic nature.
  • You will be required to undertake a Disclosure Barring Service check before undertaking this role.
  • You are asked to use your own car for transport. Please bear in mind that many patients will be elderly, so the car must be reasonably accessible.

Please note, transport to vaccination appointments in the south of the Borough is being offered through East Surrey Rural Transport Partnership. No additional volunteers are needed at this time for the south of the Borough.
